All Things

By Andrew Cascio

“For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭11‬:‭36‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Paul points out a strong truth in his statement here. All things come from God. Not only do all things come from him, but all things come through him. Which means he’s active in what’s going on, everything continues to exist and function because of him. Paul also says all things are for him. That means everything was made for the glory of God, we are here for his purpose, we are here to magnify him, to praise him, to worship him. He has a purpose for each and every one of us. The Creator of the universe has a plan for us. He made us for HIS purpose. Think about that for a second and let it really sink in. He made you to run a race only you can run. Not only that but he has equipped you and given you everything you need to do it. He puts the right people in your path, he shows you favor, and even the stumbling blocks that come your way are to keep you on track. Sometimes things come up that distract you or make you feel like he may have forgotten about you. However, they are all for a purpose, they may strengthen you, help you grow, or help you to learn. It’s all part of God’s plan. You don’t necessarily have to be thankful for the difficult things, but you should praise God THROUGH the difficult things. Have the mindset of “God I don’t like what’s going on here, and although I don’t see a way, I know you are with me and you are THE WAY. You have a plan for me and I’m believing in you and praising you through it all!” To him be ALL the Glory!
