1st-6th grade Ministry

At SWC, we are excited about ministry to children, and we're passionate about assisting you in their spiritual growth and discipleship.  There is nothing boring about life with God, and we want children to experience the great adventure found in embracing His purposes for them and His love in their lives.  Our Children's Ministry department is led by Pastor Justin Hege, our children's pastor, and Kelly McKennon, our early childhood ministry director.

 

First through Sixth Grade Department

Group 6 is a small group especially for 6th graders, concentrating on discipleship, service projects, pre-teen issues and friendship-building.  It's designed to work as a "bridge" for the kids on their way to Fusion Youth group.  Group 6 takes place each Wednesday night. 
 
Big League Kids PDF Print E-mail
Our Wednesday night children's ministry is called Big League Kids, where children can Get Big, Get Small,and Get Moving all in one night. Kids in first through fifth grade will participate in a large group service, coach-led small group interaction and a service project, as well as fun games, talk-time and sports. Bible memorization is emphasized in each part of the evening. Big League Kids starts at 7:00 PM in room 204.
 
His Kidz Children's Church PDF Print E-mail

Our children's church for kids in 1st -6th grade is called "His Kidz."  The name, "His Kidz"  represents the clear biblical principle that we are not our own!  We belong to the Lord, who loves us unconditionally and totally. 

 

His Kidz is a high-impact worship service designed specifically for kids in first through sixth grades, and meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. .  This children's church provides an age-appropriate service, including Bible lessons, praise and worship, puppet skits, dramas, Bible quizzing and object lessons.  It's our goal to make their time in His Kidz one of their favorite things they do all week, while impacting them with the truth of God's Word and His incredible love for them.  Join us in the His Kidz' auditorium in the 200's building.

His Kidz offers several activities throughout the year, including our Day Camp week, our Kids' Prescott camp, Castles and Coasters, as well as parties and other fun events.  Check the SWC calendar for details.
