Men are a important part of the SWC community. The Men's ministry at SWC is intended to disciple and encourage men in all their relationships, challenging them to function with integrity and live in accountabity. Facilitated by Jim Mueller and John Norton, they meet together throughout the month for discipleship, Bible Study, recreation and activities.
Men's Integrity Groups
Men's Integrity groups are designed to bring three or four men together for small-group discipleship through the Word of God. Each Integrity group meets every week or every other week for one hour at a local restuarant or coffeehouse for three months at a time. The members work through a simple Bible study curriculum together.
These are the groups that are currently meeting:
Chris Harper's group: Tuesdays at noon (every other week)
The Men's Prayer lunch meets bi-monthly on the SWC campus, from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM. On the first Thursday of the month, they substitute prayer for lunch and meet in the main sanctuary. On the third Thursday of each month, they meet in Room 103 and have a delicious lunch, discipleship and prayer together.
Each Tuesday morning, Don Drugmand leads a group of men in prayer and in-depth Bible study in Room 201 at 6:30 AM-8:00 AM. This comprehensive study time will enrich your understanding of the Word and reinforce its importance for everyday living.
Once a quarter, the men get together for a barbeque dinner at SWC. Bring your own steak, chicken, fish, or whatever meat you prefer, and we'll provide the sides and drinks. Check the schedule for the next scheduled "Steak-Out." We fire up the grill at 6:00 PM; don't be late!
There are several events that happen for men throughtout the year, including leage softball, retreats, camp-outs, baseball games and barbeque dinners. Check the events calendar for the next scheduled men's meeting or activity.
